What features does Authorize.net provide?
Authorize.net is a very powerful tool that can provide many different features for your business, including a virtual terminal, recurring billing, customer information manager, and more.
Am I required to complete PCI Compliance?
Yes. All merchants who accept credit cards are required to become PCI compliant by the card associations. If your organization chooses not to become compliant, the organization will be subject to a monthly non-compliance fee of $24.95.
Do I need a POS system?
The answer to this question depends on who’s asking. A Point-of-Sale (POS) system can be invaluable to certain types of merchants, and is a “must have” in certain retail/restaurant industries. However, many businesses will have little to no use for a POS, since they aren’t customer-facing or they don’t have fast-moving inventory levels. Every business has different needs, so it’s hard to make blanket statements about what you’ll want to invest in.
