A Wild Soap Bar

You may not know it but Dharma is a Green America Gold-Certified green company and a family owned business, just like this month’s merchant of the month, A Wild Soap Bar. Since 1995, Maggie, Jory and Mike Hanus have been providing truly non-toxic, organic natural soaps and body care products handmade with real ingredients including responsibly wild-crafted and organically grown botanicals. And none of those nasty, plastic micro-beads in these body-care products! A Wild Soap Bar’s handmade natural products are biodegradable, cruelty free, minimally packaged with recycled and recyclable materials, and do not contain synthetic fragrance oils or other harmful chemicals. 100% of their base oils are certified organic. The organic palm oil they use is from Columbia and is RSPO certified as well as Rain Forest Alliance certified. Maggie, the “Soap Bartender,” says they try to be mindful of every purchase they make and strive to support fair trade, organic, and sustainable businesses whenever possible. A Wild Soap Bar earned Green America’s top Gold Certified Business Seal by being committed to protecting people and planet. All employees earn living wages, enjoy employer-paid health insurance, and are free to structure their workday to accommodate family needs. A Wild Soap Bar also donates 1% of profits to the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center and the Clean the World organization. What’s more, they maintain a natural wildlife habitat on their rural Texas property; garden organically; and contribute to their local community throughout the year. Talk about “Being the change!” We are grateful to support this amazing new friend and client.

Please note: while Dharma was a Registered B Corp at the time of this posting, it no longer is.
