Address Verification Services are included free of charge at Dharma. For our Virtual accounts, this fee is included in our $0.11/transaction margin, since we feel that all merchants should be utilizing the Address Verification Services (AVS).

AVS helps you protect against fraud by forcing your customers to input the address information associated with the billing address of the credit card they are using. Receiving a mismatched address can be an indicator of fraud, so it’s a great habit to always ensure that you’re checking AVS results on each transaction.

In addition, Visa/Mastercard offer lower interchange rates when utilizing the AVS feature, so we recommend taking advantage of the service whenever you process a sale where you aren’t swiping the credit card.
