Flying and Laughing

Every quarter, our Dharma team has an outing to challenge ourselves in some way or another. We went out on a whale watching cruise at the end of last year, then we went bowling together. And recently we opted for an indoor skydiving experience – you know, a wind tunnel that simulates the dive sensation – which feels like having your cheeks flapping at 175 miles per hour while you are flying and laughing. I found that by opening my mouth I could increase liftoff by 40%!  No doubt that making the leap into the wind chamber made every one of us lean into our discomfort, but what a blast it was. All the encouragement and high fives exchanged made the morning even more meaningful.

I find working and playing together a great way to support our conscious culture ethos. Maybe all that off-site laughing carries through to dealing with challenges during the busy workweek. Wishing you plenty of fun and laughter in your endeavors!
